O transwestytach można pisać ciekawe rzeczy. Świadczy o tym jeden z najlepszych numerów Lou Reeda – „Walk on the Wild Side”, z tekstem: „Holly came from Miami, Fla. / Hitch-hiked her way across the USA / Plucked her eyebrows on the way / Shaved her legs and then he was a she”.
